The Obertrauner Hof in the heart of Obertraun perfectly blends tranquility with convenience. The spacious room for 3 adults was a comfortable haven, with lovely views from the windows and outside veranda. The welcoming owners, Deb & Trevor, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable, even opening the breakfast room early for our group of 3 couples catching an early bus.The location of the hotel is ideal for exploring the Salzkammergut region, with easy access to attractions like the Dachstein Ice and Mammoth Caves, as well as the 5Fingers viewing platform on Krippenstein mountain. We enjoyed a pleasant bike ride to Hallstatt and relaxed at the nearby Strandbad Obertraun. The breakfast spread was exceptional, offering a variety that catered to all tastes.Obertrauner Hof's proximity to the Dachstein West Ski Area makes it a perfect base for winter sports enthusiasts. The staff was exceptionally helpful, offering tips on hiking routes and local dining spots. The room at the top floor with a balcony and roof window was a cozy retreat after a day of exploring. The personal touch of the owners, the convenient location, and the cozy atmosphere made it a memorable holiday retreat. I would definitely recommend this charming hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful yet accessible stay in the Salzkammergut region.
